Nara Vell is a fictional image-maker based between Seoul and Jeju, working across moving image, portraiture and cultural commissions.
Her practice observes how a place is remembered through gesture, distance and changing light. Each project begins with time spent listening before the first frame is made.
She moves between documentary instincts and carefully shaped visual language, creating films and photographs that leave room for silence, weather and the people inside them.
